Troubleshooting and repair

General problems

Problem Cause/solution
Device does not respond (all display LEDs always off)
  • Battery pack is completely discharged. The batteries must only be replaced by the manufacturer (see Contact information) or a certified service partner.
Communication problems (between Jellox Pulse and myDatanet server)
  • Evaluate the error code shown on the display (see Display).
  • Use the "OnSite Companion" smartphone app to synchronise the device log with the myDatanet server and open the device log on the myDatanet server.
  • The capacity of the battery pack is virtually.
Unable to synchronise device and server using the "OnSite Companion" smartphone app
  • Reduce the distance between the Jellox Pulse and the smartphone or try to avoid obstacles such as walls and similar.
  • Check the smartphone’s internet connection
  • Check whether the latest version of the "OnSite Companion" app is installed on the smartphone
  • The capacity of the battery pack is virtually depleted.
Transmission cannot be triggered using the reed switch
  • Evaluate the error code shown on the display (see Display).
  • Use the "OnSite Companion" smartphone app to synchronise the device log with the myDatanet server and open the device log on the myDatanet server.
  • The capacity of the battery pack is virtually depleted. The batteries must only be replaced by the manufacturer (see Contact information) or a certified service partner.
Status information of the sensor modules is not displayed
  • When creating the site, the myDatanet server was unable to determine which sensors are assigned to the remote measurement channels. Solution: Trigger a transmission or wait for the next cyclical transmission.
Not all or no data is available on the server
  • The connection was aborted during the transmission, which is indicated by a time-out entry in the connection list (see "myDatanet Server Manual " 805002). Solution: Trigger a transmission or wait for the next cyclical transmission.
  • The assignment of the device and site is not correct (see Site or Creating the site).
  • The measurement data and configurations have not been synchronised between the Jellox Pulse and the myDatanet server using the "OnSite Companion" smartphone app (only relevant, if no suitable mobile network coverage is available at the operating site of the Jellox Pulse ).
The data on the counter input is not plausible
The transferred state of a digital contact ist not plausible
Communication problems (between Jellox Pulse and Sensor module)
  • Reduce the distance between the Jellox Pulse and the sensor module or try to avoid obstacles such as walls and similar.
  • The capacity of the battery of the sensor module is virtually depleted.
  • The Jellox Pulse has lost the connection to the sensor module and was unable to re-establish it immediately. Solution:
    • Wait until the Jellox Pulse attempts to re-establish the connection. To minimise energy consumption, the waiting time after each unsuccessful attempt is increased before the next attempt is made, in accordance with the following scheme:

      5 min. -> 10 min. -> 30 min. -> 2 h -> 2h -> ....

    • Press the reed switch briefly (approx. 1 sec., see Reed switch) to manually initiate the search for remote sensors.
Pressure value and/or temperature of the medium ist not plausible
  • The capacity of the battery of the sensor module is virtually depleted.
  • Information on other possible causes of errors and corresponding possible solutions can be found in the "Troubleshooting and repair" section of the manual for the relevant sensor module.
Alarm state was not detected

(digital contact)

Alarm state was not detected

(Flow rate)

Alarm state was not transferred although the data is present
Alarm message was not sent although the alarm was signalled
  • Check the settings of the alarm schedule (see "myDatanet Server Manual " 805002).
  • Check the address data of the alarm schedule (see "myDatanet Server Manual " 805002).
