  1. Activate the according mode for each input via the input screen "Channel settings". The mode is depending on whether you want to connect a meter or a digital contact with the input (see Input in "Digital" mode and Inputs in "Counter" mode).
  2. Connect your meters and digital contacts to the sensor connector. You can use the Connection cable 7pin 8 m (301689), the Connection cable 7pin 0,5 m (400442) or the Cable connector 7-pins (206.654) for this purpose. Further accessories are detailed in chapter Spare parts and accessories.
Important: If you use the Connection cable 7pin 8 m (301689) or the Connection cable 7pin 0,5 m (400442), the joint between sensor cable and meter or digital contact must be suitably protected against the penetration of moisture and dust.
  3. The following step is only required for the variant with external antenna connector (Type key D022‑4Z001200D05).
  4. Connect the antenna (see Connecting the mobile network antenna (only with D022‑4Z001200D05)).
  5. Ensure that the setting "Active" is selected in the title bar of the configuration section "Measurement system" of the site, the device is linked with (see Measurement system).
  6. Trigger a connection using the reed switch (see Reed switch). On the display the symbol for the "state of the mobile network connection" should then start flickering to indicate the connection establishment (see Display).
Tip: If the Jellox Pulse is in "Deactivated" mode, it switches to "Active" mode as soon as a connection has been established to the myDatanet server and will then resume operation according to the configuration settings.

  8. Check whether the connection to the myDatanet server has worked correctly (see Testing communication between device and server (mobile network connection)).
