Measurement values provided
The following measurement values are provided by the VEL‑R‑5 . The VEL‑R‑5 does not have any user interface nor can it establish a direct connection to the myDatanet server. It therefore depends on the data logger used which of these measurement values are available on the web interface of the myDatanet server.
0° corresponds to horizontal alignment. Positive values correspond to a counterclockwise tilt, while negative values indicate a clockwise tilt.
This is a status register with individual flags. Several of these flags can be set simultaneously.
| Flags | Status | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| No Bit set | Ok | The surface velocity colud be determined successfully. |
| Bit 0 (0x01) | Slowzone | The surface velocity determined is located in the area around the zero point, where the measurement has low reliability (i.e. the slow zone). |
| Bit 1 (0x02) | No peak | The surface velocity could not be determined. The current measurement is entered into the filter for determining the surface velocity with the value "0" unless "Hold" has been activated. |
| Bit 2 (0x04) | Hold | The last known value is held. |
| Bit 3 (0x08) | Hold expired | The maximum number of times the last known value may be held has been exceeded. The current measurement is entered into the filter for determining the surface velocity with the value "0". |
| Bit 7 (0x80) | Error | The measurement could not be carried out due to an internal communication error. The sensor has been reinitialised. The surface velocity is immediately set to 0. |
