Unauthorised use
Note: The following describes the types of use of the device that are not
permitted. This is not a complete list, but rather a list of reasonably foreseeable misuse.
Only the use specified in chapters Intended use, Type of use and Field of application is
permitted. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage or consequential damage resulting
from unauthorised use. The risk is borne solely by the operator.
- The device must not be exposed to direct sunlight or direct weather influences (rain, snow, ...).
- The device must not be installed in locations that are permanently flooded.
- The device is not authorised for use in sewers.
- The device must not be mounted hanging from the connection cable.
- The device must not be operated with the lid open.
- Wiring of the terminal strip inside the device, which is accessible when the cover is opened, must not be modified. No additional cables or sensors may be connected.
- Only the PSUs specified on the type plate may be used.
- The fuses of the Zener barriers may only be replaced with those of the same type and specification.
- The Zener barriers may not be replaced or installed by the user.
- The device must not be operated without an antenna. For options with multiple antenna connections, each connection must be fitted with an antenna.
- When using antennas with a connection cable, neither the device nor the antenna may be suspended from the antenna cable.
- The sensor connection must not be used in the field without a counterpart. If the sensor connection is not used, it must be protected with a protective cap.
- No traction may be exerted on the sensor connection. A straining clamp must be used to secure the sensor cable in a suitable manner.
