Replacing the battery
Important: Only the manufacturer is permitted to open the housing to carry out
maintenance work, which must only be completed outside the Ex area.
In the event of unfavourable environmental conditions (e.g. low temperatures), it may occur that the battery capacity is depleted prematurely. To replace the battery, the VEL‑R‑5 must be sent back to the manufacturer in the original packaging (see Repair & return).
