Determining the raw value (distance)
The raw value is the distance to the water surface that has been determined directly by the radar sensor and that is also made available as measurement value "distance". The upper stop of the mounting thread on the BLE Radar represents the reference plane (i.e. the zero point) for the measurement (see Overview). If no data logger was paired with the BLE Radar (pairing), the raw value is automatically determined every 10 sec. . However, if a pairing has taken place, the determination of the raw value (i.e. of the distance to the water surface) has to be initiated via the data logger which communicates via local radio connection with the BLE Radar . The measurement interval is hence preset by the data logger, but it may not fall below 10 sec. . The choice of the measurement interval has a significant effect on the battery life.
