Installation in a manhole cover DN600

For the installation in a manhole cover DN600 the optional accessory "Radar cross strut mounting kit (301484)" is required.

Note: Avoid touching the spherical joint and ensure that the ball of the spherical joint is also not contaminated otherwise with grease, oil or lubricants of any kind. A such contamination reduces the friction between the ball and the swivel arm, which results in the fact that a retained stable alignment can no longer be guaranteed. In case of contamination, the ball can be cleaned using isopropyl or other degreasing cleaning agents.

1 Cross strut 3 Swivel arm
2 Clamping screw
  1. Mount the swivel arm on the cross strut. In doing so, you can choose between two options. The swivel arm can be mounted in such a way that it either points vertically downwards or that an angle of -30° arises between the horizontal level and the swivel arm.
Note: When choosing the option with the -30° angle between the horizontal level and the swivel arm, it may be advisable to insert the clamping screw in such a way that the star knob is pointing downwards. This way less space is needed above the cross strut and it is less likely that the manhole cover touches the mounting fixture when it is beeing closed.

  2. Insert the cross strut with mounted swivel arm in the manhole cover. In doing so, the two hooks of the cross strut should engage the slots for the mudflap.
