Maintenance of the PRE-PT-D30
The PRE-PT-D30 does not require any cyclic maintenance work other than the actions listed in chapter General maintenance and replacement of the batteries after max. 6 years. In the event of unfavourable environmental conditions (e.g. low temperatures), it may occur that the battery capacity is depleted before this period of time has elapsed. The batteries must only be replaced by the manufacturer (see Contact information) or a certified service partner. The device must be returned in its original packaging for this purpose.
Even though the PRE-PT-D30 itself does not require any specific maintenance, it is advisable to carry out the following maintenance work at the measuring point on a regular basis. This can be done, for example, as part of an annual inspection of the measuring site. The interval at which maintenance work should be carried out also depends on the environmental conditions at the measuring site. Maintenance work should also be carried out after exceptional events (e.g. pipe bursts) or in the event of implausible measurement values.
Maintenance work to be carried out regularly at the measuring site (recommendation):
- Check all pipe connections for leaks. Tighten the screw connections if necessary, or replace any damaged seals.
- Check all pipework for corrosion, damage and leaks. Replace any damaged or heavily corroded components where material failure is likely to occur in the near future.
- Check all metal fasteners for corrosion. Replace any components whose condition may compromise safe operation.
