General product information
The system is a compact, stationary measurement system designed for determining, processing and transferring analogue and digital signals as well as data read out of sensors, machines and control units via the modbus interface. For control and regulating tasks, the measurement system is not only equipped with 2 relays for the direct control of an actuator, but it also allows for the option to transmit data to sensors, machines or control units via the modbus interface. The measurement system consists of a data logger (see Suitable data loggers) with installed IoT application "myDataconC3 MBM". To simplify matters, the measurement system will be referred to as "myDataconC3 MBM " hereinafter. The myDataconC3 MBM requires a constant energy supply. However, the data logger has an integrated rechargeable buffer battery which allows sending a notification in the event of a voltage supply failure (see Technical details about the integrated rechargeable buffer battery).
The following interfaces are available for determinig measurement data:
- 3 universal inputs that can be operated in various analogue and digital modes
- A RS485 interface configured as modbus client (formerly master) in operating mode "RTU"
The RS485 interface is used for communication with the modbus servers (formerly slaves), i.e. with sensors, machines or control units. To record the data read out of the sensors, machines or control units using modbus, 20 measurement channels are available. Data or commands can also be sent back to the sensors, machines or control units via modbus. To do so, 12 output channels are available, of which the setpoints can be configured via the input mask or API of the myDatanet server.
In addition, 2 relays are available to output control commands. The setpoints for the relays can be determined wirelessly from a central point. The measurement data of all inputs are recorded in an adjustable interval (see Basic settings) and together with the states of all outputs they are temporarily stored in an internal data memory. Since the default connection type for the myDataconC3 MBM is "online" mode, the determined data is transferred immediately to the myDatanet server. If the alternative connection type "interval" is used, the recorded data is transmitted to the myDatanet server in a freely selectable interval. In both cases, this connection is also used to transfer the configuration to the measurement system. For this purpose the device is equipped with an integrated SIM chip. To manage and display the transferred data, the central myDatanet server offers various possibilities. Further information is provided in the user manual of the server ("myDatanet Server Manual " 805002). The measurement system is also configured via the interface of the relevant myDatanet server.
