Connection of the extension modules
Important:
- All wiring work must be performed in the de-energised state!
- Ensure installation is completed correctly!
- Comply with existing legal and/or operational directives!
- Improper handling can cause injuries and/or damage to the instruments!
- Run all data and power cables so that they do not pose a trip hazard and ensure that cables do not have any sharp bends!
- The length of data an current cables mut not exceed 30m!
With the myDataconC3+ it is possible to connect an input extension (myDatalogC3e 12UI/2Rel ) and an output extension (myDatalogC3e 3mA/6Rel ) via CAN bus to the data logger (see Suitable data loggers). In doing so, the total length of the CAN bus must not exceed 20 m . In addition, no other bus participants except for the extension modules and the data logger should be connected to the CAN bus (i.e. a separate, encapsulated CAN bus is required for the connection of extension modules).
