Ex protection

The portable BLE Radar is designed for use in areas with a zone 1 explosive atmosphere.

The following conditions must be observed:

The device is designed for fixed installation and cannot be used as a portable equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Equipment must be installed in a place with low risk of mechanical impact and shall be adequately protected from falling objects.
Non-metallic parts of the equipment enclosure shall be protected from direct sunlight.
The plastic surface of the housing of the device exceeds the limit specified in the standard, so it must be protected against electrostatic charging. Cleaning should only be done with a damp cloth.
Do not open the housing in the presence of an explosive atmosphere.
The built-in battery shall be replaced in a non-hazardous area and only the original battery supplied by the manufacturer may be used for replacement. It is forbidden to recharge the power supply cell in the device.
Only the manufacturer's original spare parts must be used.
A mounting distance of min. 50 mm must be maintained on all sides to prevent any impurities.

Important: The Ex approval is only valid if the corresponding marking is provided on the type plate of the device .

Important: The certificates of conformity and any relevant test certificates from the respective authorities must be carefully observed during installation and commissioning.
