Testing communication between Jellox Node and myDatanet server (local radio connection)

  1. Within the desired customer, create a new site/application for operation of the Jellox Node on the myDatanet server (see Creating the site).
  2. Use the "OnSite Companion" smartphone app to synchronise the Jellox Node and the myDatanet server (see Synchronisation with the myDatanet server). Select "Synchronise device", use the magnifying glass icon to search for compatible devices and click on the desired device in the list displayed.

The application can also be accessed as a progressive web app at the following address (https://companion.microtronics.com/). This means that a PC or laptop can also be used instead of a smartphone. However, in this case, the search for devices within range is not available. The serial number must be entered manually or scanned using the camera icon.

  3. Configure the created site/application according to your requirements (see Site configuration).

The following settings should be made out if you also want to test the communication with the sensor module for level measurement at the same time:

    1. Check or enter the installation height (see Remote sensor module of type LVL-R-5) or the offset of the sensor module (see Remote sensor module of type Gauge) in the relevant input field.
    2. Check or enter the value for the zero point adjustment in the input field for "Trimming" (see Remote sensor module of type LVL-R-5 or Remote sensor module of type Gauge)

The following settings should be made out if you also want to test the communication with the sensor module for surface velocity measurement at the same time::

    1. Check or enter the mounting angle and flow direction (upstream or downstream) of the sensor module in the corresponding input field. (siehe Remote sensor module of type VEL-R-5).
  4. Trigger the synchronisation between Jellox Node and the myDatanet server again to transmit the configurations of the site to the Jellox Node .
  5. Wait until some measurement values have been recorded. The waiting time depends on the configured record interval (see Device settings )
  6. Trigger the synchronisation between Jellox Node and the myDatanet server again to transmit the recorded measurement values to the myDatanet server.
  7. Wait until the "OnSite Companion" smartphone app indicates that the synchronisation process is completed.

    Synchronisation completed

  8. Click on the "Direct Report" symbol in the list of sites/applications to display the data saved on the myDatanet server.

  9. Check whether all of the data up to the point of the synchronisation is present and plausible (especially the "Remote measurement channels" and "GSM" measurement values). Complete a zero point adjustment, if the measurement values of the sensor module do not meet the expectations (see Zero point adjustment).
