Intended use
The measurement device is designed for use in the field of water disposal. This includes the process of wastwater treatment and disposal, in which used water is collected, treated and reintroduced into the environment otherwise reused. It can be used to determine, process and transmit measurement values provided by remote sensor modules. Only the remote sensor modules listed in chapter Sensor modules can be used. The device is suitable for both mobile measurement campaigns and permanent stationary measurements. It can be used as a stand-alone device or as part of a swarm sensor system. Areas of application include the monitoring of water levels, fill levels, surface velocity, flow rates (based on the water level, separate calculation required), rain events, inflow and infliltration, monitoring the usage of the sewer system as well as the detection of overflows, blockages or manhole blockages. The device operates independently of the mains supply and was designed for use in sewers with a zone 1 explosive atmosphere. The measured and recorded data is saved on a non-volatile storage medium. This stored data can be read out the data locally via radio connection or it can be automatically forwarded via mobile network connection to a central server for further processing. The device is equipped with an integrated SIM chip for this purpose. To read out the data locally via radio connection and to simultaneously forward it to a central server, the smartphone app provided by the manufacturer can be used. The device is designed solely for operation within the limits specified in chapter Specifications.
